Teaching in Adapted Upper Secondary School

Örnsköldsvik Gymnasium has two school buildings, Parkskolan and Nolaskolan.

We have a total of over 1800 students distributed across five higher education preparatory programs and ten vocational programs, as well as introductory programs and adapted upper secondary school. Örnsköldsvik Gymnasium is designated as a training school, which means that VFU students are a regular feature in the school.

Job Responsibilities

You will teach courses in the Adapted Upper Secondary School program for Property and Construction, which includes both internal and external property maintenance. You will teach courses related to vehicle maintenance and machinery service, as well as common tasks in industrial and workshop environments. The assignment involves planning, implementing, and following up on teaching together with a work team. The responsibilities include mentorship for a number of students, which entails a significant responsibility to follow up and support your mentored students and actively participate in student health work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with vocational teacher training with authorization to teach in Adapted Upper Secondary School or experience working with individuals who require adapted teaching, and who has expertise in areas such as vehicle and machinery service, industry, and workshop work.

It is important that you are committed to creating a good learning situation, have a positive attitude towards students and colleagues, and want to work in teams around the students. You have the ambition to develop your professional skills together with other driven and ambitious colleagues in subject and work teams.
